    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's cross country team will compete at Pre-Nationals on Saturday, Oct. 14, at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind. The Hoosiers will run the 11 a.m. Women's 6K Blue race.

    The women's team recorded an impressive showing among a very tough field at the inaugural Bill Dellinger Invitational on Sept. 29 in Eugene, Ore. The meet, hosted by the University of Oregon, featured a field with some of the top teams in the nation, including Arkansas, BYU, Duke and Butler.

    The Hoosiers placed seventh with a team score of 170 points. Senior All-American Jessica Gall paced Indiana and finished 11th among the field of 95 with a time of 20:55.75 in the 6K.

    Following Pre-Nationals, the Hoosiers will host the Indiana 4K Championships on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. on the IU Cross Country Championship Course. IU's course will also be home to the 2006 Big Ten Championships on Sunday, Oct. 29.
