Indiana Cross Country Travels to Great Lakes Regional Championships This Weekend

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's cross country team will travel to the Great Lakes Regional Championship on Saturday, Nov. 11, hosted by Bowling Green State on Forrest Creason Golf Course in Bowling Green, Ohio. The women's 6K will begin immediately after the men's 10K, which is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. (ET).
Top qualifying teams and individuals will advance to the 2006 NCAA Championships in Terre Haute, Ind., on Nov. 20.
On Oct. 29, the Hoosiers served as the host of the Big Ten Championships, where Indiana finished seventh with a team score of 158 points.
Senior All-American Jessica Gall also paced the Hoosiers at Big Ten Championships, finishing 10th overall with a time of 21:01. The West Lafayette, Ind., native also earned All-Big Ten Second Team accolades and was one second faster than her previous best 6K Big Ten time, which she set in 2004.
Gall also earned Big Ten Sportsmanship honors and is eligible for the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, which is awarded to one male and one female student-athlete from each league institution by the Big Ten at the end of the school year.
