    Gall, Hattendorf and Robinson Earn All-Great Lakes Region Honors from USTFCCCA

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Seniors Jessica Gall and Lindsay Hattendorf, as well as sophomore Wendi Robinson earned All-Great Lakes Region team honors for cross country from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, the organization announced on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

    Gall, a two-time All-American, and Hattendorf became the first two women in IU cross country history to earn at spot at nationals in each of their four years of competition. Gall placed fifth overall with a time of 21:03.26 in the 6K, while Hattendorf followed in 10th with a time of 21:12.16 to lead the Hoosiers to a seventh-place finish among the field of 30 teams. Robinson finished 20th in 21:52.34.

    To be considered for the all-region team, athletes must finish in the top 25 of their regions and meet NCAA Division I Cross Country Coaches Association requirements.

    Gall and Hattendorf will represent Indiana at the 2006 NCAA Championships on Monday, Nov. 20, in Terre Haute, Ind.
