BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana University track and field team will square off against in-state rival Purdue and Wabash at the Rankin/Poehlein Invitational this weekend. Friday's action will be limited to just one event, the hammer throw. A total of four Hoosiers will throw, including: Andrew Miller, Willie Morrison, Nakel McClinton and Nycia Ford. Both the men's and women's competitions will start promptly at 5:00 p.m. EST.
Saturday's slate will kick off with the javelin throw at 11:00 a.m. while running events get started at 1:45 p.m. with the men's 3,000m steeplechase. The meet with conclude with the 4x400m relay, scheduled to start at 4:15 p.m.
The javelin throw will feature Drew Ludwig, who landed inside the top 10 in school history in the event last weekend with a throw of 58.40m (191-7). Six field athletes on the women's side all joined Ludwig's lead by cracking, or improving their standing within, the top 10 list. Both Ari Nelson (sixth) and Aaliyah Armstead (10th) are competing in the long jump. Freshman Leah Moran sits sixth on the triple jump list. She will contend in the triple jump and the long jump this weekend.

Indoor All-American Markevious Roach will headline the running events for the Hoosiers. Roach will run in the 400m dash as well as a couple relay events. Jordan Huntoon, a Big Ten point socrer, will look to lead a group of five Hoosiers in the 800m run.
