
Wisconsin, Minnesota Road Matches Next for Hoosiers

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team will travel to Wisconsin and Minnesota for matches this weekend.
The Schedule
Indiana (11-11, 2-5) at Wisconsin (4-12, 0-7)
Friday April 14 at 6PM ET
Indiana (11-11, 2-5) at Minnesota (10-10, 2-5)
Sunday April 16 at 12PM ET
About the Badgers
Wisconsin comes in with an overall record of 4-12 and 0-7 mark in Big Ten play. Most recently the Badgers lost a pair of 4-0 matches to Michigan and Michigan State.
About the Golden Gophers
Minnesota is 10-10 overall and tied with the Hoosiers at 2-5 in Big Ten play. Minnesota has Big Ten wins over Wisconsin (7-0) and Nebraska (4-3) this season. Most recently Minnesota lost 6-1 to Tulsa on April 8. They haven't played a Big Ten match since they lost 6-1 against Michigan on April 2.
Appel and Schmider Rise in the Rankings
Senior Kim Schmider and sophomore Madison Appel moved up 15 spots since the last ITA Oracle Doubles Rankings and are now the No. 45 ranked doubles team. Schmider have a win earlier this season over then No. 1 and currently No. 2 Aldila Sutjiadi and Mami Adachi of Kentucky.
