Kane won diving letters in 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994. She won 3-meter Big Ten championships in 1992 and 1994 and on the 10-meter platform in 1992. She was Big Ten Diver of the Year in 1992 and 1994, and each year she was named IU's Female Athlete of the Year. She placed second in 1-meter and third in 3-meter diving in the NCAA in 1992, and second on 3-meter in 1994. All-American all four years, she was U.S. outdoor 1-metr champion in 1992. She was on the U.S. Pan American team in 1994.
