BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana men's soccer senior forward Palmer Ault and graduate goalkeeper Holden Brown featured in the Big Ten weekly awards, the conference office announced on Tuesday (Sept. 2).
Ault, the Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week, also earned a spot in the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week. Indiana has won the conference's Offensive Player of the Week honor each of the first two weeks of the season; junior forward Jacopo Fedrizzi won the award last week.
Indiana improved its unbeaten start to four games (3-0-1) with two victories last week, beating Green Bay (2-1) and shutting out No. 14 Oregon State (2-0).
Ault totaled four goal contributions in the two games, scoring the winning goal against Green Bay as well as a brace versus OSU. The senior eclipsed 25 career goals with his performance.
Brown captured Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week honors. After conceding to Green Bay in the second minute, Brown and the Hoosiers held their opponents scoreless for the final 178 minutes of last week. Brown picked up his first Hoosier clean sheet in the victory over OSU and improved his record to 3-0-0.
The Hoosiers host Saint Louis Wednesday (Sept. 3) night in IU's third Top 25 matchup of the season – the Billikens rank as high as No. 15 in the three national polls.
